Summer Travels, OB/GYN Tips, and Can't Miss Deals | Weekly Newsletter

Hi Reader - hows your Sunday going? This week, I’m recapping my first trip of the summer, sharing OB/GYN clerkship tips, and sharing two DEALS that end today!

What's New with You?

For some reason, it doesn't feel like my summer has started until I've been to the beach...SO HAPPY SUMMER!!

Living so close to the coast in South Carolina, I found a last-minute deal and spent a few days in Myrtle Beach with my dad and cousin. We started with some shopping but spent most of the time swimming or lying by the pool and reading. There's no better way to spend a day!!

Then, I got to spend this weekend with more family. On Saturday, I visited my maternal grandfather to celebrate an early Father's Day and his 81st birthday. Then, today, I'm heading to church, then dinner to celebrate with my paternal grandfather. What a blessing!

I've also been taking advantage of my free time to hit the gym and continue my weight loss journey. It is not easy, but I've lost over 40 pounds in the last year...and I want to keep making some healthy lifestyle changes.

Other than that, I am continuing to work on some research projects I'm very passionate about and planning a few other trips, so stay tuned!!

- Morgan :)

Rotation Spotlight🔍

Sharing my top 3 tips for the OB/GYN clerkship rotation!

  • Have a cheat sheet on your phone for all of the abbreviations - it feels like a foreign language!!!
  • Learn how to read fetal heart tracings and the appropriate interventions for each (hint - VEAL CHOP)
  • Don't forget your surgery skills (suturing, knot tying, post op checks, etc.)
